WMC created rack cards for one of Port Townsend's coolest galleries. These cards very cost effective (hence the one color black), yet printed on a high-end offset printer. A lot of small business owners don't know that they can actually get a better quality print at a sometimes cheaper cost by using a limited color palette on an offset printer. Printing consultation and management is something we can truly help you out with because WMC wants quality first, not ease (like many print suppliers).

WMC has launched a highly customized WordPress website for Barbara Stanny, best selling author and the leading authority on Women & Money. I got the chance to not only update the design and convert the site to a WordPress based CMS, but to re-design the information architecture and content flow – which was very satisfying! Often small business clients want to create the content and flow on their own to save money – it's not always a good idea though. Third Ear Project is growing fast and didn't have the time to devote to the content. WMC was able to step in and finally create a flow that works and will be a good foundation for future growth. Website feedback so far has been great!

Thanks to the best clients WMC could possibly have, the new Bainbridge Island Athletic Club website was launched yesterday without a hitch.

The BAC was WMC owner Danny McEnerney's first free-lance client about 8 years ago, and some how that website created back then lasted all this time. Let me tell you, the code I created back then was a little scary ;)

We are very happy to have created a new website with social media capabilities and a framework that can easily be expanded on using WordPress. This is just the beginning for BAC and the web, but getting the new site up quickly was important so they could manage the launch of their awesome new college sized gym.

As part of this new site, the BAC created a YouTube channel with fitness tips, a facebook page, because an organization like this is actually a great example of a client that a facebook page actually works for, and twitter will probably come later. Part of the future for the web could be more videos and video categories and blogs from trainers and employees to offer members more assistance in meeting their goals, oh yeah, and to retain membership at this really nice club.

Workin’ Man Creative plans, designs, and develops strategic websites and print communication tools for clients of all sizes.

WMC is born out of what owner Danny McEnerney calls a “death bed issue.” The long established part-time graphic design studio is now officially running full-time – throwing caution to the wind and pursing a passion for design, developing new
websites for local clients like Puget Sound Express, The Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce, Star Concrete Design, and leading the design and production of Harbors, the new Kenmore Air in-flight magazine. “It’s time to take the big leap, make it or break it. I don’t want to be at the end and not have done this,” says Danny. “The economy is bad, my schedule is booked, and I’m goin’ for it!”

Danny is the main guy at WMC, a “militantly small studio.” His past experience includes a long stint as senior designer at Renton-based design firm Razor Planet Inc., where he worked with clients such as T-Mobile, Microsoft, Dell, the NBA and Church Web Works. Prior to Razor Planet,Danny worked his way to design lead at Watson Furniture Group, where he and a team designed web and print marketing materials for the high-end furniture manufacturer located in Poulsbo. Most recently Danny has been working as a multimedia instructor at Peninsula College, which, he says, “… has been the most challenging professional task I’ve taken on.” Throughout his career as an employee, freelance website and print design has been the creative relief valve keeping him excited about his work. Like the studio’s website says, “WMC includes smart friends, passionate designers and the skills to get the job done.”

This means that when a new project comes in, a unique and specific team of contractor/friends is organized to tackle it. “I love the freedom of being a freelancer, and as I move my business toward a more established entity, I want to keep as much flexibility for everyone working on a project – including our clients.”

Danny hopes to bring the experience of working in a very fast paced, high quality output environment to local businesses in Jefferson, Kitsap and Clallam counties, only now providing more time and research for every project. Danny would like to thank his wife Tobi for her love and support, Keven Elliff at Windridge Solutions for opening the door, and past and present clients and employers for preparing him to give a dream a chance.

Like all websites these days, updating of content and a far reach into the world of social media was important for the chamber. One of the joys of this project was the sensibility of our client and their desire to present information with clarity and ease. The design had to work for 3 unique communities, Port Ludlow, Port Hadlock, and Port Townsend, and be flexible enough to grow over the years.

Re-designed website for Port Townsend, WA icon. The new site is WordPress based, scalable, social media capable, and easily updated by Elevated's proprietors. The goal of the site was to bring the technology up-to-date, allowing flexibility, and to refresh the design bringing Elevated to a new level, without taking them into fancy shmancy land – which would not be appreciated by PT locals.

Thanks to the best clients WMC could possibly have, the new Bainbridge Island Athletic Club website was launched summer 2010 without a hitch. The BAC was WMC owner Danny McEnerney's first free-lance client about 8 years ago, and some how that website created back then lasted all this time (the code I created back then was a little scary ;).

WMC is very happy to have created a new website with social media capabilities and a framework that can easily be expanded on using WordPress. This is a new beginning for BAC and the web.
